The 1,870-square-foot store, which opened in partnership with retail firm Kwang Sia Fashion, is located in ION Orchard Mall, a premium shopping destination, and evokes “a taste of home, where Canadian woods meet Italian design,” according to the duo.

That means a Mother Nature-friendly atmosphere for both men and women, such as raw wood shelving units, natural wood scents, logs, maple leaves, moose antlers and a fireplace. With a total of eight stores worldwide, the Catens are scouting a location for a store in Paris.

Although plans for a New York boutique were postponed because of the recession, the pair hopes to open a unit there or in Los Angeles next year, capitalizing on the enhanced profile they expect from their turn as co-hosts of Bravo’s new fashion show, “Launch My Line,” which airs in September.
