Eddie Adds Two Merchants

Jean Park has joined the retailer as divisional VP of men’s merchandising, and Scott Hutsenpiller has been added as VP of outerwear design at Eddie Bauer.

NEW YORK — Eddie Bauer has beefed up its merchandising team. Jean Park has joined the retailer as divisional vice-president of men’s merchandising, and Scott Hutsenpiller has been added as vice-president of outerwear design. Park has extensive experience as a men’s merchant and has spent over 10 years in the industry. Most recently, she was director of men’s and boys’ merchandising for Levi Strauss & Co.’s Signature brand. Before that, she was director of boys’ merchandising for Levi’s brand. She has also been director of licensing and director of brand strategy for the Levi’s label.

Kim Berg, SVP merchandising for Eddie Bauer said in a statement: “In many of her roles, Ms. Park has been accountable for the start or turnaround of the brands she’s worked with. Her significant experience making positive, deep and lasting changes to men’s brands will be a key differentiator for us. I look forward to tapping into her energy and enthusiasm as she works with our men’s team to focus on this critical part of our business.”

To join Eddie Bauer, Park was granted 2,500 restricted stock units that will become 100 percent vested at the conclusion of four years of service, and options to purchase 7,500 shares of common stock. Hutsenpiller has over 15 years of design experience and is credited with designing two alpine collections for Spyder Active Sports. Before that, he spent four years as director of design and product innovation for Eastern Mountain Sports. He has also been with Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Patagonia.

Hutsenpiller was granted 4,250 restricted stock units that will become 100 percent vested at the conclusion of four years of service, and options to purchase 12,750 shares of common stock.
