NEW YORK — The chairman of the board at Invista is taking over as CEO.
Jeff Gentry, who already served as chairman of the board of directors at Invista, the fiber and fabric treatment giant that is owned by Wichita-based Koch Industries, will also assume the duties of chief executive officer effective May 31, when he officially replaces Jeff Walker, who held the titles of CEO and Invista president as well as serving on the company’s board board of directors.
Longtime Koch veteran Walker, who has been with that company since 1983, most recently served as president of Koch Mineral Services.
With Walker’s imminent departure, most of the top managment that Koch inherited when it completed the purchase of Invista from DuPont in 2004 has now left the company. Only a few weeks previously, William Ghitis, Invista’s president of apparel and a 35-year veteran of that company, also announced his resignation.
