ATLANTA — Services were held February 6 in Laguna Hills, Calif., for licensing executive Roger Tomlinson, who died January 30 at his home in San Clemente, Calif., of cancer.

Tomlinson, 65, helped develop apparel and accessory programs for Op, LA Gear and Beverly Hills Polo Club. He joined Ocean Pacific in 1985 as vice-president of sales and marketing and, in 1987, moved to Southern California to help spearhead the company’s international licensing program.

He left the company in the 1990s and joined footwear company LA Gear as vice-president of international licensing. More recently, he was treasurer and vice-president of BHPC Marketing, Inc., the licensing firm behind Beverly Hills Polo Club, as well as the agent for Big Dogs Sportswear, Deckers Outdoor and Blue Marlin.

Tomlinson, who was born in the small town of Edgbaston outside of Birmingham, England, is survived by his wife, Gisele, of San Clemente; his son, Alex, of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
