Tom Brady helped christen the first Ugg for Men store on Tuesday in New York, jetting down from Boston earlier in the day for the event. “Everything that you put on feels great, there is so much consistency. Every shoe and every slipper you put on, they all feel great,” said Brady of the shoes, gamely tackling his role as footwear pitchman.
The New England Patriots quarterback has been featured in the Ugg men’s campaign since the fall, helping drive a 30 percent increase in men’s sales in 2011, said Connie Rishwain, president of Ugg Australia, a $1.2 billion division of Deckers Outdoor Corp. Brady said he wore Ugg slippers as far back as college and even gave some as Christmas presents over the years.
“To see what they are rolling out now, with the winter boots and the rocker boots, it’s pretty amazing,” he said, wearing his own pair of Ugg boots with his jeans-and-cardigan — looking at home in the Madison Avenue shop, which is connected to a women’s Ugg store.

Apart from Ugg shoes, Brady said he liked shopping on Amazon.com and Zappos.com. Contrary to what some might suppose, Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, doesn’t interfere too much with his fashion choices.
“You would think she does but she doesn’t,” he said. “She doesn’t go overboard with it. If there’s something that she just hates, she’ll tell me. She’ll just say, ‘Oh I like you better like this.’”
As for those tabloid reports that Bündchen is pregnant with their second child, Brady said he’s looking forward to expanding the brood. “I look forward to it very much,” he said. “My family has been the greatest thing about my life. It’s nice that as I’ve gotten older, it’s really become about my family and my career — and it’s kind of how I like it.”
Brady shot the new fall Ugg campaign on a Universal Studios lot in Los Angeles meant to evoke the cobblestone streets of downtown New York. “It’s probably not something I’m entirely comfortable with, because I don’t get a chance to do it very often,” he said of his modeling gigs. “I’m much more comfortable on a field with 70,000 people watching than in front of a camera.”
