Vineyard Vines will continue to add to its retail presence this year.
The Stamford, Conn.-based sportswear brand said Thursday it will open new units in Tiburon, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C., and Alpharetta, Ga., and will significantly expand its Edgartown, Mass., unit on Martha’s Vineyard.
The Edgartown store, which will open in time for the island’s summer season, will measure 5,000 square feet and will be its largest retail location.
The California unit, which will be located on Belvedere Street near the Tiburon’s commuter ferries, is slated to open in June and will be the brand’s second unit in the state. The Raleigh store is also slated for a June opening, while the Alpharetta store will open in November in a new center called the Avalon.
In addition, the company’s Southampton, N.Y., store, which was a temporary location, will move to a permanent spot nearby in April. Vineyard Vines will also open its 10th outlet store in Riverhead, N.Y., this year.
These openings will bring the number of Vineyard Vines stores to 46. The company said it expects to add another five to 10 units before the end of the year, making 2014 the brand’s most aggressive retail expansion year to date.
