PARIS — Chanel is opening a second boutique in Moscow, bolstering its presence in the fast-growing Russian market.
Designed by Peter Marino, the shop, located in the ultramodern Vremena Goda shopping mall, boasts Chanel’s hallmark white and beige colors, marble floors and simple black furnishings.
With transparent walls and high ceilings, the 2,800-square-foot store will open June 15 and will stock ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrances. A special space will be dedicated to watches.
The likes of Cartier and Piaget already are present in the mall, which is located on the bustling Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
Chanel opened its first shop in Russia’s busy capital of new-wealth oligarchs and entrepreneurs in July 2006.
