HSN this spring will introduce a new format called “The List With Colleen Lopez.” Typically, HSN features a single designer in two-hour segments, but “The List” will take a breezy, multibrand tack in a one-hour slot — 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. — on Thursdays starting March 20. “I’m kind of working as an editor to literally take one or two things from our collections to build a story,” said Lopez on Monday at the Empire Hotel, where HSN showed an assortment of spring 2014 fashion, accessory and beauty collections. On hand were several HSN design partners including Byron Lars, Carmindy, Christos Garkinos, Daniela Swaebe, Fern Mallis, Giuliana Rancic, Hal Rubenstein, Iris Apfel, José Eber, Marla Ginsberg, Nikki Poulos and R.J. Graziano.

For “The List,” longtime HSN host Lopez said she’ll be pulling products from the shopping channel’s designer collaborations launching for spring, including pencil skirts, shirtdresses and draped blouses from Byron Byron Lars, as well as peasant blouses and cropped tweed jackets by Eureka by Christos Garkinos. Also new to the spring lineup are understated knits and casual, chic iridescent jackets from Marla Wynne; Chrome Girls nontoxic long-wearing nail polish, and HYD men’s shaving regimen, some of which could appear on “The List,” though Lopez said the focus is on fashion, shoes, jewelry and handbags, and fashion trends. “The List” reflects HSN’s efforts to elevate its fashion image and maintain a broad audience. “It’s about providing quality fashion at accessible prices that’s not pretentious yet still has a sense of being aspirational,” said Lynne Ronon of Nation Design, a key private-label manufacturer for HSN.
