LONDON — Online fashion marketplace Lyst has appointed Chondita Chatterjee as senior vice president and general manager of its U.S. operations, the company said earlier this week.
In the newly-created role, Chatterjee will be responsible for leading London-based Lyst’s business in the U.S., which will involve both driving its vision and executing strategy in what is the firm’s largest market, Lyst said. Chatterjee will report to Chris Morton, chief executive officer and co-founder of Lyst, and her appointment is effective immediately. Chatterjee will be based at Lyst’s New York offices. Prior to joining Lyst, Chatterjee was vice president of business development at Rent the Runway, and was part of the founding team at the online designer dress rental business.
Morton described the U.S. as one of Lyst’s “most important markets.” “[Chatterjee’s] energy and expertise in successfully merging brand building with commercial strategies will be essential as Lyst continues to define its position both…in the fashion e-commerce space and as a key revenue driver for the fashion retail industry,” he said.
