Abercrombie & Fitch Promotes Amy Zehrer

She was promoted to executive vice president of stores from senior vice president.

Amy Zehrer has been promoted to executive vice president of stores at Abercrombie & Fitch Co.

Zehrer, who joined A&F 21 years ago as the manager-in-training at the company’s store in Roseville, Minn., had been senior vice president of the same area. She continues to report to Mike Jeffries, chairman and chief executive officer of the New Albany, Ohio-based operator of Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and Gilly Hicks retail nameplates.

“Amy has a deep knowledge of our brands and processes,” Jeffries said. “She is responsible for running a world-class stores operation. For the past two years, she has been in charge of all aspects of the stores organization, and this promotion recognizes the breadth and importance of her role in the company.”

As of the end of January, A&F operated 266 A&F stores, 144 Abercrombie children’s stores, 482 Hollister stores and 20 Gilly Hicks stores in the U.S. In addition to Web sites dedicated to each of its retail names, its international operations include 19 A&F stores, six Abercrombie stores, 107 Hollister stores and seven Gilly Hicks stores.

A&F generated net income of $237 million on sales of $4.51 billion in fiscal 2012.
