PARIS — Groupe Galeries Lafayette has named Edoardo Manitto vice president of its Lafayette Innovation business.
Manitto, who joined the company on June 23, was previously director of international development for Gap Inc. He reports to group president Philippe Houzé and will work alongside vice president Diane de Montjamont.
Lafayette Innovation is the French retailer’s division that develops new companies and segments for the firm.
Separately, a spokeswoman for the group confirmed that the Moulin family, owners of Groupe Galeries Lafayette, has purchased four vineyards in the Bordeaux region from the Banque Populaire Caisse d’Epargne via its Motier holding company. The acquisition includes the Château Beauregard, a Pomerol producer situated close to the famed Château Cheval Blanc, which is owned by LVMH Möet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
