Jonathan Greller has been named president of outlets at Hudson’s Bay Co. with responsibility for the company’s Saks Off 5th, Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay outlet operations.
Greller was most recently group senior vice president of private brand apparel, global sourcing and specialty for the company’s Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor operations.
In his new position, he will report to HBC’s office of the chairman.
Following the November completion of its acquisition of Saks, HBC’s operations include 72 Saks Off 5th locations, four Lord & Taylor outlets and a single Hudson’s Bay outlet. The company plans to open up to seven full-line Saks Fifth Avenue stores and up to 25 Off 5th units in Canada over the next several years and continue to expand the Off 5th footprint in the U.S. as well.
Richard Baker, chief executive officer of HBC, said, “Jonathan’s experience and proven track record of success will help drive our growth strategy and elevate the Saks Off 5th experience on both sides of the border and further develop the outlet platform for our Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay banners.”
Greller began his career with Lord & Taylor in 1993 and served in a number of merchandising capacities before leaving the firm in 2012 to join The Doneger Group as chief operating officer. He returned to Toronto-based HBC later in the year.
