Staff Out at JA Apparel, Sapienza New CEO

Kenton Selvey, Ross Gershkowitz are promoted.

Marty Staff has left JA Apparel Corp. and Anthony Sapienza, president and chief operating officer of the firm’s manufacturing arm, is taking over as chief executive officer.

The company said Staff departed “to pursue other endeavors.”

“Marty’s creativity and drive have been important elements in the business strategy that the company has put in place over the last six years, and we wish him well,” said company chairman Bill Watts.

Kenton Selvey was promoted to president of JA Brand Group. He had been senior vice president of business development and brand strategy. Ross Gershkowitz was named senior vice president of tailored clothing, after serving as vice president of sales.

“We believe that this new management structure lead by Tony, Kenton and Ross addresses the current needs of our customers and partners while leveraging our two greatest assets: high quality design and manufacturing based in the U.S. and strategic licensing of the Joseph Abboud brand name,” Watts said.
