NEW YORK — Abercrombie & Fitch wants London to know it’s on the way. A huge poster of its bare-chested male models covers the barricade of its construction site there. The store is expected to open next year, at 7 Burlington Gardens, formerly the site of the Jil Sander flagship. A&F launched its off-the-mall flagship strategy last November when its biggest store opened at 750 Fifth Avenue. The vast majority of A&F stores are in malls.
