NEW YORK — Façonnable S.A.S. is heading north.
The wholly owned subsidiary of Nordstrom Inc. said on Monday it has signed an agreement with Throat Threads Apparel Inc. to distribute its brand in Canada. Façonnable, based in Nice, France, is known for its tailoring and distinct French sensibility.
Throat Threads Apparel, a sportswear distributor specializing in the Canadian marketplace for companies outside the country, provides sales, marketing and distribution solutions to Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Kenneth Cole New York and DKNY. It will begin offering Façonnable to wholesale customers as early as January.
Façonnable is sold exclusively at Nordstrom in the U.S., as well as at five freestanding boutiques. In Europe it can be found in department stores and specialty retail shops, and 32 company owned boutiques. There are also 25 franchised Façonnable boutiques in international locations.
