PARIS — H&M is scoring points ahead of the matches with a World Cup collection for infants, children, teens and men.
“We know that many of our customers are interested in both fashion and football and we think that fashion-oriented football supporters should [also] be able to feel trendy during this summer’s World Cup,” Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s head of design, said in a statement.
The collection will kick off in the middle of next month at a majority of H&M stores in Europe and the U.S. Teen styles have a retro vibe and include T-shirts, vests, caps, badges, flip-flops, swimwear and bags for boys and girls inspired by leading competing nations Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Italy and Germany.
The fast-fashion chain vowed to include pieces from all of the qualified countries where H&M has stores, adding the Czech Republic, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.S. Prices range between 7.9 euros, or $9.75, for fitted tops and bikinis, and 4.9 euros, or $6, for flip-flops, at retail.
The World Cup, which is being held in Germany, begins in June and continues through July.
