DALLAS — Neiman Marcus is going into the magazine business — temporarily.
The retailer plans an 80-page magazine in September to mark the 10th anniversary of its InCircle frequent-buyer program. It will feature fall fashion trends and upcoming store events, as well as stories about high-profile customers and home decorating.
The magazine will be sent to 500,000 Neiman’s customers worldwide, not all of whom are InCircle members. There will be a toll-free number for ordering.
Neiman’s is charging luxury goods makers $25,000 a page for an ad. About a dozen companies reportedly have bought space.
According to the retailer, 60 percent of InCircle members have incomes of more than $75,000. The InCircle program rewards customers who spend a minimum of $3,000 annually at Neiman’s with points redeemable for merchandise or trips, and with private parties at the stores.
