A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Los Angeles at 6:25 a.m. Monday. No damages or injuries were reported to the Los Angeles Fire and Police Departments, but there was a 2.7 magnitude aftershock an hour later.

The trembler’s epicenter was in Sherman Oaks, near the intersection of Mulholland Drive and the 405 freeway. No traffic disruptions occurred, but in Westwood and Beverly Hills, four and six miles away, respectively, car alarms and sprinklers went off.
