LONDON — Anita Barr, formerly the buying and merchandising director of men’s wear at Selfridges, will join the team at London-based high-street brand AllSaints as global product merchandising director in November.
Reporting to chief executive officer William Kim, Barr will be responsible for further developing ready-to-wear collections as well as new categories for the brand.
Beverlie Choa, who will also report to Kim, will join the brand in September as global director of retail merchandising, bringing with her experience from Levi’s and Urban Outfitters. “Beverlie will work with our existing retail merchandising teams based in London and New York to manage the brand’s inventory and assortments in the vertical retail distribution channels,” explained Kim.
Both the positions are newly created and the result of splitting the role of chief merchandising officer, which was left vacant by Matthew Corin. He left the company earlier this year.
“AllSaints holds a unique stature in the global marketplace, and after meeting with William and hearing his vision for the future of the brand, I knew this was a chance to be part of something very exciting,” said Barr. “First and foremost, I’m a product person, and this role gives me the opportunity to concentrate all my energy and focus into one brand.”
“AllSaints continues to globalize and to operate a distinct retail model where the brand controls and operates directly 100 percent of its stores globally,” said Kim.
