Lane Bryant, the women’s plus-size apparel retailer, has launched “Just for You” to enhance its online shopping experience, as well as an optimization of its mobile browsing capabilities on iPad devices.
The “Just for You” platform provides each shopper with personalized product recommendations, using information about the individual’s profile, which includes shape, preferences and style.
The individual profile is always available when shopping traditionally online.
The company said purchases via iPads account for 10 percent of the company’s e-commerce sales, with the average shopper spending $15 more through the mobile device.
The optimized mobile browsing capabilities include swiping across product images to see alternate views and the pinch-zoom touch to better utilize the iPad’s screen.
