Tom Ford has finally arrived in Paris, with the opening of a franchised Tom Ford men’s wear flagship on Rue François 1er in the city’s golden triangle.
Located in a Haussmannian hôtel particulier, the store is a partnership with Paris-based retailer Simon Ibgui, who is to be the brand’s exclusive distributor in the city. A second Tom Ford store is due to open in the coming months, also in partnership with Ibgui, geared to both men’s and women’s wear. “Paris is one of the fashion capitals of the world, and it was an obvious evolution for the brand to open a men’s wear store here,” said Ford.
The three-story François 1er boutique, which measures 1,600 square feet, will offer men’s eyewear, fragrance, footwear, accessories, sportswear and tailoring collections. Ford conceived the space, which has a cozy, apartmentlike atmosphere, with longtime collaborator Bill Sofield. Features include gray marble flooring, macassar ebony wood fixtures and elegant sofas in gray flannel and white linen upholstery.
The brand counts 58 freestanding stores and shops-in-shop in locations such as New York, Moscow, Zurich and Milan.
