Rochelle Udell will join Chico’s FAS Inc. on May 11 as senior vice president and creative director for the Chico’s brand.

She will be responsible for the creative, marketing and advertising efforts of Ft. Myers, Fla.-based Chico’s, taking on responsibilities previously handled by Judd Harner, who has left to pursue other opportunities. She will work closely with Lee Eisenberg, director of creative strategy for the company, and Cynthia Murray, president of the Chico’s brand.
“Rochelle Udell has time and again proved that she is one of the truly inspired designers and brand builders working today,” said Eisenberg. “It’s thrilling to contemplate the excitement she will bring to the creative, marketing and advertising efforts at Chico’s.”
Most recently chief talent officer of the Arnell Group, Udell was previously chief creative officer for Revlon Inc. following a career in publishing that included numerous posts with Condé Nast Publications, parent of WWD, such as editor in chief of Self, president of CondéNet, art director of Vogue and president of Fairchild Internet.
Chico’s operates 614 Chico’s stores as well as 41 outlets under the Chico’s brand. Its White House|Black Market nameplate has 327 units and 17 outlets and its Soma Intimates brand has 69 front-line stores and one outlet.
