Katharine Polk presented a cool and youthful bridal collection for her Houghton label. Katharine Hepburn is her brand’s muse (Houghton was the actress’ middle name) but for this lineup Polk looked to the Nineties for inspiration, particularly Kate Moss and how she effortlessly worked a slipdress. Thus these minimal, chic shapes ranged from a sheer sequined style to one with a metal ring neckline, all cut perfectly to barely skim the body.
For those who want a little more, Polk showed sequined wide-leg trousers, a cropped top with a bias-cut long skirt and a racer-back mesh column dress with a hand-painted lace peplum. Polk said she designs for “the alternative girl who wants something different and nontraditional” and these were all great options for the romantic yet edgy bride.
