He worked with his signature gentle pleating treatments, adding several modern twists. Contrasting geometric, floral and cobweb lace, for instance, was patchworked together with gazaar and organza to add structure to the otherwise easy silhouettes. Mendel also introduced a few new accessories this season: embellished belts meant to be worn with any of the gowns, and a few evening clutches, some in traditional white and other standout versions in fur.
