Kudos to Jenny Packham, who opened and closed her bridal show with a beautiful plus-size gown — the first was a long-sleeve sparkling lace dress and the second, a floaty, beaded chiffon style with a cape back. Inspired by British photographer Madame Yevonde’s portraits from the Thirties of society ladies dressed in classical costumes, Packham delivered a lineup of modern-day interpretations. The feminine and romantic looks featured delicate lace, intricate embroideries and rich beading, mostly worked on lean and simple column silhouettes.
