Anna Maier Spring 2016 Bridal

In his spring bridal collection for Anna Maier, Charles W. Bunstine II experimented with new materials and added a touch a color.

Charles W. Bunstine II’s point of reference for his spring bridal collection for Anna Maier was a photograph of Victoire Doutreleau, one of Christian Dior’s star models in the Fifties, wearing an embellished satin gown. He also experimented with new materials, such as lightweight silk mikado, double charmeuse and Italian crepe de chine, and also offered a few options for a bride unafraid of color. Some of the collection’s voluminous architectural looks in taffeta and duchess satin felt overwrought, but Bunstine’s slender silhouettes – including a silk gown with Swarovski crystal straps – had a more youthful edge.
