“Cultures of the world” was the fall inspiration for Naeem Khan, as his bridal collection has been growing and expanding globally. Khan has his territories covered: for the Middle Eastern bride, there were saffron yellow gowns with dramatic 3-D floral appliqués; for the Spanish bride, a jeweled and fringe column gown; for the California bride, he showed sexy jersey gowns. And no matter the region, these gowns were all stunning. Khan offered rich textures and embroideries on dresses from short to tea length, including a silk and lace embroidered minidress with thigh-high embroidered boots — a collaboration with Christian Louboutin. Khan also deconstructed the veil this season, opting for two mini veils, one on each side. The designer quipped that it was inspired by Princess Leia of “Star Wars.”
