Rabih Kayrouz does not believe in seasonal dressing, so even though he was showing in the middle of fall couture week, the Lebanese designer conjured up dresses as light as a summer breeze. Artisanal touches such as raw, exposed seams and complex pleating on diaphanous gowns lent the outfits a handcrafted appeal. Crinkled crepe dresses in zingy shades of poppy and lime were secured by massive gold belts, while tiny green feathers nestled in the back of a lemon yellow honeycomb-pleated jacket. The spirit was best summed up in an off-white textured knit maxigown, which seemed perfect for walking barefoot in the grass.
