The designer ended his show with four dramatic couture looks that played on a stirring vampire theme inspired by F.W. Murnau’s “Nosferatu.”
His couture show was chockablock with Gaultier-isms: plays on androgyny and corsetry, winks to gypsies, boxers and sailors.
Though the designer’s collection was inspired by skyscrapers, his models were graceful as reeds in their gauzy column dresses.
The collection Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli showed was utterly lovely, an ode to gentle romance.
