The lineup began on a promising note with cream-colored ethereal dresses sprinkled with beading or in silvery chiffon worn under chunky cardigans and sweaters. Lepore infused the clothes with her signature arts and crafts style, but as the show continued, she lost her thread and the looks felt incongruous. A floor-dusting tweed coat with a sweeping skirt looked cumbersome and dated, as did the matching flounce skirt suit that followed. Despite the slips, her pretty bohemian pieces should have broad appeal.
