Wayne Lee’s fall collection was great…especially if you like Rick Owens. Lee explored the aerodynamic lines and sporty, Gothic territory that Owens knows so well. She has put herself in the edgy yet elegant upper echelon of contemporary that relies heavily on leather jackets and drapy knits. Here, they were layered in a lean, streamlined style that blended casual streetwear — bombers and cardigans with hoods drawn up over the head — with the sophisticated line of a long, bias-cut silk skirt. It was a sharp look made stronger by the graphic colors: brown, black and white with a few shots of crimson.
