The designer took her signature Art Deco-inspired, retro prints and incorporated an exotic element inspired by the humid jungle of a garden greenhouse. Another inspiration was Lady Chatterley in the heady atmosphere of a hot summer’s day.

 

“I liked the idea that my woman had been misbehaving down in the garden, and had to find her way back to the manor house. So she’s a little disheveled and messy,” the designer said. Fitted cocktail dresses came in silk printed with moths, butterflies, rare flowers and tropical foliage.

 

Oil-coated silk gave a cropped, hot pink jacket the appearance of patent leather, while reverse printing gave some of the dresses and pencil skirts a matte quality.
