With a hot-blooded customer base in mind, he turned out a collection packed with miniskirts and dresses, some with jewels spilling down the front, others pavéd in sequins arranged in digital mosaics. There were lots of iridescent brocades for trousers and skirts, and even nubby wool jackets were packed with color and sparkle, as in one light purple number shot through with shiny threads. Williamson’s one big nod to the cold weather came in the form of a fur chubby, albeit in a patchwork of powdery pastel colors.
