Already known for its refined cashmeres, the design team at Agnona amped up the luxe factor some more with several details that added to the allure of the handsome lineup. A linear navy cashmere coat, for instance, featured a wide trim of astrakhan fur; a knitted cashmere jacket with mink inserts was lined in the same fur and was reversible, and red or black tuxedolike tailored coats were made from Spazzolino, a high-end brushed-alpaca fabric that Agnona first launched in the Seventies. Many of the fine details were subtle, such as a down jacket that was filled not with feathers but with cashmere. The overall effect was classic and ultra-sophisticated, a notion that extended to accessories, like leather-trimmed gray or navy cashmere handbags in a shape that loosely resembled bowling bags.
