Brunello Cucinelli took a trip back to several different decades for inspiration in a collection that highlighted his adept hand with luxe separates. Starting with the Twenties Charleston era, the designer played with ostrich feathers and maxi sequins, which added a little touch of bling to graphic jacquard cashmere pullovers and soft furry sweaters. They were all paired with slim wool pants or, for a laminated effect, a wide-legged suede and Lurex combo. Cucinelli then moved on to the Fifties for eveningwear, with black cashmere egg-shaped dresses and matching cropped jackets, all embellished with sequins. There were also references to the Seventies as in a short coat made of shearling turned inside out, worn over a bronze fluid silk satin blouse and gray flannel cropped pants.
