She’s on a roll. Anna Sui successfully reinvented her look for fall with a lineup that drew on various Sixties inspirations, including La Liz, whose glamorous lifestyle made a huge impression on Sui. Her resulting collection had an artsy, brainy slant — hold the caftans! — right down to the eyewear. Colors came in fuchsia, orange, turquoise and lime, with a slew of great plaid coats that were adorable paired with Mod-ish shift dresses and skirts. Prints in cherries, florals, blocks, love letters and clocks made frocks and tops look playful, while cocktail numbers in gold checkerboard or satin dot jacquards had just the right dose of retro. Some of it was shown with the accessories Sui designed with Coach, a seamless addition to the fun lineup.
