Did her saccharine-sweet vibe from spring give Jill Stuart a toothache? Whatever the reason, the notable restraint was a welcome change. Her more grown-up point of view was best illustrated by the clean, loosely tailored coats — single or double breasted — and a handful of little black dresses with tulle or lace inserts. Of course, there were a few girly moments with flouncy skirts, floral motifs and a finale of pretty embroidered tulle dresses, but she tempered it all with a mostly dark palette.
