She has been dabbling in ready-to-wear for several seasons, but this collection was Josie Natori’s most complete and successful. It was full of terrific outerwear — sequined velvet, perforated and pleated leather, suede, fur-trimmed, embroidered — that was elegantly tossed over lace skirts and slender dresses in velvet, cashmere and wool jersey. The Mandarin sweaters, kimono coats and obi sashes continued Natori’s exotic Asian influence, but this collection was all about chic New York sophistication.
