St. John creative director George Sharp always aims to have his women look chic in an effortless way, and for fall he looked to Loulou de la Falaise for inspiration. He sent out a range of appealing looks — tailored double-breasted cashmere coats, wide-leg wool trousers, fluid satin suits and lots of sexy knits, from dresses to asymmetric sweaters. Sharp also played with fur, both real and faux, for tops and outerwear. His eveningwear also had a casual ease: a silk button-down shirt was paired with an allover embroidered skirt, and an off-the-shoulder sweater with a long feathered skirt. There were some slightly more dramatic numbers, too, that, with brand face Kate Winslet sitting front row, left one wondering if an Oscar dress was in the works.
