Masanori Morikawa, whose resume includes making stage costumes for Lady Gaga, showed a collection of dark, dramatic looks for both men and women. He made all-black pieces interesting with unconventional combinations of silhouette and texture, such as a pair of wide-leg men’s pants in a thick cable knit, and a long velvet gown with jacquard sleeves. A rugged rock print appeared on everything from a gathered minidress to an oversized, billowing men’s cape. Morikawa closed the show with a male model covered from head to waist in black jacquard pillows, followed by a long black dress with tulle skirt and a bodice decorated with sculptural, gothic flowers.
