Yuima Nakazato turned out a men’s collection rife with glam and space age references. Iridescent vinyl figured prominently, forming a high-waisted long skirt-type garment, chaps and a super-hero style cape. There was also a smattering of snug, textured knits with leather trim. Clearly, Nakazato was more concerned with dramatic impact than wearability, as further evidenced by his move to accessorize his guys with driftwood. But given the designer’s background — he has made costumes for the likes of Lady Gaga and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas — that only makes sense.
