Antonio Berardi’s collection had its good moments — skinny patchwork tweed dresses with sheer black panels and jaunty cheerleader skirts. Mostly though, it was just plain fussy, with superfluous panels flapping at the back and front of dresses and jackets, and an evening gown worn with an embellished cape that dragged solemnly behind the model like extra baggage.
