Barbara Tfank was inspired by the opulence of Matisse’s “Odalisque” paintings, sending out a collection of timeless, effortless dresses in rich brocades and vibrant florals. Despite the sturdy look of some of her gilded fabrics, the silhouettes — A-line, full-skirted and column — were lightweight and had a flattering fit. It’s no wonder Adele and Michelle Obama are fans.
