For a girlier look than his signature sporty slant, John Patrick showed his version of a Sixties-inspired collection, demonstrated mostly with a few little black dresses. Terrific outerwear like wool pile anoraks and camel wool flannel slouch jackets were amusingly paired with shorts. The Eighties surfaced with a sweatshirt and skirt in shocking pink bonded nylon that happily recalled the heyday of Stephen Sprouse. Patrick typically presents informally, but this season’s decision to show the disparate looks on the runway underscored the collection’s weak styling.
