Sally LaPointe’s fall lineup was her best yet. She struck just the right balance between edgy and chic, the best example being a suede and patent leather coat in camel-and-cream ombré. There was a great oversize mohair sweater in a black-and-white ocelot print, which was also worked on a bolero that came in pink and red versions, too, bringing texture and color to the mostly silk and suede separates. And although some of the looks could have done without tails, they did add a sense of drama to the collection.
