Inspired by a vintage black-and-white ski photo of her mother, Sophie Theallet explored a casual, old-time elegance for fall. Lightweight wool flannel shirts, pants and dresses had a subtle men’s wear feel, while colorful knits — chunky sweaters and flared skirts — added a sportif pop. Theallet’s attention to detail made these pieces special: selvage finishes and contrast fabrics placed in strategic locations like the side of the body to flatter the figure. While lovely, quiet and understated, the lineup lacked the vibrant energy that is typically more characteristic of Theallet’s brand.
