Barbara Bui did what she does best, channeling a clean and chic rock ’n’ roll vibe, which this time took cues from London’s swinging Sixties. Coats with wing-like shoulder embroideries in mesh and wool telegraphed strength and confidence, while a series of half-coat-half-cape looks injected a relaxed tone into the lineup. Heavy on leather, the collection had a masculine feel but remained ladylike through the designer’s love for body-hugging silhouettes. The metal-embroidered tuxedo was a hit.
