After a six-year hiatus from Japan Fashion Week, designer Ahnsoon Han returned to the runway with a collection that mixed masculine with feminine, and glamorous with edgy. Wide-leg pants and oversize coats in bold orange and gray stripes had a retro feel, while form-fitting gowns in black leather and sheer fabrics were decidedly modern. Han’s signature cocktail dresses managed to look conservative and sexy, such as the long ivory lace gown with a high neck and long sleeves, which revealed an open back and center slit when the model retreated up the runway.
