The London retailer Joseph marked the 25th anniversary of its shop at 77 Fulham Road, with its first runway show, a mix of luxe separates that will no doubt walk right off the runway and onto the streets.

The collection, designed by Joseph’s creative director Louise Trotter, featured navy peacoats layered over cream fisherman sweaters; long and short military coats, and a host of shearling toppers in mauve, burgundy and black.

There were ribbed knits galore in the form of poncho-style dresses and pullovers; fringed black leather tops and jackets; and a nod to sartorial tailoring. The black suit worn with a white bow blouse was a standout.
