This retail behemoth, synonymous with Oxford Street, copped a Bond Street allure for fall, embracing traditional signposts of luxury like fur, shearling and dense embroidery.

This being Topshop — with Kate Moss looking on from the front row in army greens — it was all worn in offhand and rebellious ways: pileups of short and glossy puffer jackets, thistle-embroidered sweatshirts, leather jogging shorts and Whipstitched thigh-high boots.

Outerwear was particularly strong, including fluffy blue mohair robe coats, camel capes with fur-capped shoulders, and meaty trenchcoats with fur-lined hoods. Held in the Tate Modern’s cavernous Turbine Hall, the show was sexy and fun.
